NEW FEATURE: Configurable legend label colors

One of the features that many of you prioritised in our recent community survey, was the ability to home-brand your Method Grid account. This especially important for the growing number of professional service company clients who deploy Method Grid to “showcase” their expertise and service methodologies (often to help win pitches) and to deliver such work into integrated consultant-client teams. Even outside of this use case, we totally get the fact that many of you will want to harmonise the solution with your own company’s branding.

To this end, we have just deployed another update which allows our professional (paying) users to:

(a) Configure the default label colors – at the account level

(b) Configure the label colors – for individual grids

Let’s take each in turn.

Configure the default label colors – at the account level

Professional subscriptions can now head to Settings > Configure domain, to update the color settings of your (account-wide) default labels. Each of the ten labels can be updated by clicking on the color to open up a color picker tool – or – providing a specific color hex code. Once this is “tick” (saved) out, all new grids will start with this default label legend.

Configure the label colors – for individual grids

Even with an updated account-wide label legend, individual grids can be further customised by builders.

In edit mode, click on the label action button to open up the “Grid labels” dropdown. From this pane, labels can – similarly – be updated by clicking on the color to open up a color picker tool – or – providing a specific color hex code.

Next up for our fast-moving development team?

This release will be quickly followed by our next development sprint: the ability to configure the core application colours. We hope to have this all with you in the next two weeks or so.

Please continue to keep the feedback and new feature ideas coming (there is nothing we like more).

Is there a feature you would love to see us add to our development stack? If so, please let us know in the comments below or email [email protected]
