Tasks requiring file evidence have a new and improved interface

Method Grid gives you the ability to create tasks that require file evidence; this means your team cannot complete these tasks unless a file is attached to that task. This can be vital for all types of project assurance where documentary evidence in relation to tasks is required. Watch the video below for a quick overview:

This is an optional toggle on/off feature that can be applied to any task. Anyone with edit access to a grid can configure the file evidence requirement on any task when in edit mode by clicking the document icon:

Enable task file evidence

When configuring the file evidence option you can now choose whether to show any files attached to the task within the element below that task:

Configure task file evidence

Once configured on a task, that task cannot be marked as complete unless a file is attached to it. To attach a file your team simply clicks the file icon next to the task and they can then use our standard file picker to drag/drop or upload files from their computer, link to any cloud based file or use one of our document management integrations to search for and link to a file. Once the file or files are attached to the task, the first two files will display below that task for easy access by your team.

Show file evidence

When files have been evidenced against a task, the number of files attached is indicated on the file icon. The files, their display name and the order they are shown can be edited by the task owner or anyone with edit access to that grid.
